Our Wanderers U13s and Town U12s both notched up excellent wins at the weekend and here are the match reports.

Wellington Wanderers U13s maintained their unbeaten record and are top of the league after a 2-1 win away to Huish Tigers on Saturday.
An intense start to the game saw both sides fighting to gain the upper hand.
With Alfie and Tommy running the show in midfield, Wanderers started to play through balls into great positions only for the Tigers keeper to pull off some great saves denying Archie W.
A great class through ball from Sam nearly resulted in the opener but Wanderers didn’t have to wait long to take the lead.
Some great team play from Ed and Harley resulted in a corner on the right where Alfie floated over a precise cross to find Oakley who had peeled off to the back post and slammed in a half-volley high into the net, making it 1-0 at half time.
The second half started with Huish forcing their way forward and pressing the Wanderers defence where there was some great defending from centre backs Toby, Zac and Fin, making invaluable interceptions.
Huish then gained a free kick 20 yards out and a superb shot sailed into the top corner.
With the game ebbing and flowing, Wellington won a free kick about 25 yards out. Up stepped man-of-the-match Alfie who superbly found the top left of the net with a sublime free kick (pictured), making it 2-1.
With 15 minutes left, the Tigers threw everything at Wellington. A goalmouth scramble was followed by a brilliant point blank save by Evan which surely kept Wanderers in the game, and they managed to hold on for a well-deserved victory against a very good footballing side.
The coaches said afterwards: “We are so proud of the resilience, calmness, attitude and determination the boys are showing.
“From bottom two years ago to top – what a rags to riches story!”

Wellington Town U12s notched up their second consecutive victory with an impressive 2-0 win at home against the Galmington Dragons, propelling them to second place in the league.
The first goal came courtesy of an extraordinary strike from winger Felix Emes, who launched a stunning 20-yard shot which sailed over the goalkeeper and into the top corner.
The second goal saw Town awarded a penalty after winger Cass Letten was fouled in the box and Freddie Andrews coolly slotted the ball home from the spot, securing Wellington’s two-goal lead.
Goalkeeper Archie Corrick kept a second consecutive clean sheet, reinforcing Wellington’s solid defensive performance.
Defender Max Masland (pictured) was named man-of-the-match, impressing the coaches and supporters with his impeccable first touch, well-timed challenges, and several vital passes to keep Wellington in control.
Max’s performance underpinned a determined Wellington team effort, as they aim to continue their winning streak and challenge for the top spot.
