After a narrow defeat in their last game, Wellington Town U12s (above) returned to winning ways in style, securing a commanding 3-0 victory away to Kingsdown Knights.
The team started strongly, with man-of-the-match and captain Charlie McAlpine (pictured) setting the tone early on by smashing in a superb first-time volley from a corner in the 12th minute.
Wellington doubled their lead in the 38th minute when Travis Wong confidently beat the Kingsdown keeper.
Cass Letten added a third late in the game, breaking through one-on-one before slotting a cool finish into the bottom corner, sealing the win.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the boys,” said co-manager Jamie Tooze. “They showed fantastic determination, stuck to the game plan, and really played as a team.
“Winning away is never easy, but they rose to the challenge and deserved every bit of this result.”
